...the movie, "Notting Hill".

There. I said it. You can all snicker behind my back. Go ahead. Just come back when you are done.

First off, Norbert was 18 months old before Myfanwe and I had a proper postpartum date. And when we did, it was dinner and a movie. And the movie was Notting Hill.

I love the garden bench. "For June who loved this garden from Joseph who always sat beside her." And I loved the quirky friends and family. And I loved that, like me, William fell madly in love with Anna at first site.

And, possibly its most profound line: "Happiness wouldn't be happiness without a violin-playing goat." I mean, that is so deep.

Myfanwe and I have discussed this, and when I die, instead of a tombstone, I'd like a little stone bench. Nothing fancy, but big enough that Myfanwe could come and visit, sit a spell, and tell me a little about what's going on in her life.

I thought about using the title, "My Heart Will Go On", but I think everyone knows how I feel about Celine Dion. Just Say No!

Anyway, there was a bloodbath today at my office. 10 partners, 9 associates, and 35 staff let go. I'm fine, but I sure don't feel good. I know that every person who did loose their job really needed it. And I know how difficult it will be to find a job in this economy. I'm riddled with survivor's guilt, and sick with the knowledge that this might not be the last of the bloodletting and next time it could be me.

Regardless of how calm it makes you feel, never EVER knit lace on a turbulent flight.

It's bad. Very bad. Possibly fatal.

And it was 7/12ths complete.

Kewl Vid

I'm not a science guy, but I found this video really interesting.
