DOES THIS MAKE ME LOOK FAT?

Myfanwe bought me a little bauble.

We love the car, but I wasn't prepared for the time commitment involved. We arrived at the dealership at 9:10 a.m. and didn't leave until 2:45 p.m. And we knew what we wanted when we walked in the door!

We each had a piece of pizza at noon, but nonetheless I was experiencing food management issues by the time we finally got out of there. As we were waiting for them to pull the car up to the door, our salesperson, Evan, said "We just have one more thing...it'll only take me five minutes to show you how to operate the radio." I couldn't help myself. I blurted out "No! I swear to G-d in heaven, if I have to stay here one more minute I am hurting somebody! There's a chance it wouldn't be you, but if I were a betting man, I still wouldn't take that bet."

She rides like a dream.

Congrats on the great raise and being loved at work. Gotta find somewhere to stash that extra money.

Looks good and it DEFINITELY does not make you look fat! ;)

Our lovely new car, named Eve, is a Hyundai Santa Fe. She doesn't have all those googaws like heated rear wheel tire floss and the like, but she has everything we need and almost everything we wanted. We wanted an audio jack so we could plug the iPod directly into the stereo system, but I'm pretty sure that just ordering and paying for it would have taken 6.5 more hours.

(THe car came with 90 days free XM Satelite Radio. They have a disco channel. If they have a showtunes channel, we may have to subscribe!)

Norbert and I are taking our first car trip in Eve soon, so instead of listening to audio books on the iPod we will either check something good out of the library or listen to a Harry Potter that we own on disk.

Some little bauble! You're a lucky guy to have Myfanwe who spoils you in such lovely ways. My husband would be insanely jealous if he knew about this.

wishing you and yours a lovely, healthy and prosperous 2008 and hundreds of thousands of safe, trouble-fre miles in Eve.

I believe somewhere you mentioned that your birthday is around now, so I want to wish you a happy happy birthday.

And the little bauble, she's quite lovely and makes you look quite svelte. I hope that you have many many happy carefree miles in Eve. Congratulations and happy 2008!

How to operate the radio? Like your son couldn't figure it out in 3 minutes? Oh please.

It is a beauty of a car. I love that you've named her. I haven't named my new PT Cruiser yet but I've been giving it a lot of thought. Can't just call these cars any old name.
